Some brides-to-be are known to pick out, well, let's just say less-than-gorgeous gowns for the bridesmaids. The idea is to make sure no one shows up the bride on her big day.
Not Olivia Wilde. The actress?— engaged to Saturday Night Live alum Jason Sudeikis — tells InStyle that she wants to make sure the ladies who stand up during the ceremony never have to endure "that tortured tradition of forcing them to wear a ridiculous dress they'll never wear again."
"They'll have a real creation tailored for each of them," she tells the magazine. "They can dye it black or purple and wear it forever."
Love. This.
As for her wedding dress? The actress reveals that she's wearing a Monique Lhuillier creation. No word on what the actual dress will look like, but somehow we assume it'll be a custom gown.
We're pretty jealous of her relationship with Sudeikis — and it sounds like she's modeling her second marriage after her parents' relationship.
"I like having a real partner. It's the model I grew up with," she tells InStyle. "It's part of why I was able to take so many chances in my life, because I felt like someone was watching my back. I could never imagine life without someone I respect, someone who offers me infinite possibilities."
Wilde adds that she's also ready for the challenges that come with their type of relationship.
"There are spikes and dips and plateaus in this business. I've seen couples fall apart through it, and it is heartbreaking. You wonder what will happen — will he love me if I'm not as successful? Will jealousy kill us?"
She adds. "I know there will be times when Jason is working more than I am, but I'm actually excited by that. I'm excited by what he will become, what depth he has."
