Greg Kinnear is the guy we've been wanting to spend a weekend with since he first delivered sarcastic commentary in the early days of Talk Soup. But Kinnear quickly proved he wasn't your average wiseacre.

With his trademark “aw shucks” sideways-grin way, Greg Kinnear has been making us giggle and feel a little lightheaded since his days on Talk Soup.

Hometown: Logansport, Indiana

Height: 5' 9”

Greg Kinnear was born in Logansport, Indiana, but didn't stay there long. His father was a career diplomat with the U.S. State Department which for young Greg meant a seven-year stopover in Greece?— where he learned to speak Greek. We're going to pause to let you read that again. He speaks Greek. Can't you just hear him murmuring sarcastic comments in Greek in your ear that make you giggle until your stomach hurts? How sexy is that? You know, assuming we understood Greek.

Before moving to Greece, Greg and his family moved to Lebanon. He told Oprah Magazine when he learned his family was moving to Lebanon that he responded with, “'Leba-who?' I had absolutely no concept of the place… I had spent most of my childhood in Logansport, Indiana, an ideal town for a kid. It snowed in the winter and was hot in the summer… We landed in Lebanon at sunset, and I saw hundreds of people on their knees in prayer, facing Mecca. I immediately had that 'You're not in Kansas anymore' feeling. At the time, they called Beirut the 'Paris of the Middle East.' The city was on the Mediterranean, and it was so beautiful. But it seemed strange to me. The country has both a coastline and mountains, so in one day my family could go to the beach in the morning and watch people ski in the afternoon. It was a lot for a 12-year-old to take in… Living overseas was a great gift that taught me a valuable lesson: Always appreciate what you've got.” That's funny. Our mothers taught us the same thing, and we very much appreciate Kinnear's down-to-earth attitude.

Outside of a few startup gigs, Kinnear got his first big break as host for E!'s Talk Soup in 1994. This may be where we first fell in love with this boy-next-door wonder whose sarcasm had us snorting long after the show was over.

Greg's star was on the rise, and his stay at Talk Soup was disappointingly brief. After a few somewhat obscure parts, Greg landed on the Hollywood map with movies like You've Got Mail, Someone Like You and Nurse Betty. Kinnear proved what a rare hybrid he was when he got an Academy Award nomination for playing the gay neighbor in As Good as It Gets.

We got a healthy dose of our favorite sardonic superstar in the cult classic Little Miss Sunshine. After all ladies, "sarcasm is the refuge of losers." As Kinnear's Richard said, “There's two types of people in this world. There's winners and there's losers.” Kinnear is clearly a winner, and a handsome one at that.

So does our talk-show-host-turned-movie-star miss his talk show days? Kinnear told collider.com, “There are times when I do. I do like talking to people.” And we like listening.

Where will we see this multi-medium stud next? He's headed back to television, a la Kevin Bacon, in Fox's new series Rake, which will be released later this year. Sigh. And all is right with the world once more.

Greg Kinnear's sense of humor is at least partially responsible for his diversity and staying power. So now we'd like to bring to you a little thing we like to call “Kinnear-isms.” In an interview with Elle magazine, the reporter had some fun with Kinnear and asked him random questions. When asked if he has any tips for arguing with women, Greg simply (and smartly) answers, “Just one. Lose.” Elle magazine asked if he were to have plastic surgery, which procedure he'd choose, and he replied, “My hips are a little big. I'd go for the hip-o-suction.”?

You get the point. Hanging with Kinnear would pretty much have you in stitches all day, which is probably our second favorite way to spend the day.

Greg has been married to former model Helen Labdon since 1999. Their first child was stillborn at five months?— the couple has gone on to have three daughters. Few things are sexier than a devoted husband and dad, and Kinnear has that base covered too. When People magazine asked Greg if he had any early precautions for his daughter's dating years, he joked, “I already have a shotgun underneath my bed. It's not loaded though, I want to point out."

Man Candy Mondays: Kevin Bacon

We've been craving Kevin Bacon since he made us wish we were Ariel on Footloose. No matter what role he's taken on (and thankfully there have been many), he's delivered up sizzlin' goodness. Here we celebrate the man who we hope keeps bringing home the bacon for years to come...

Not only is this fine slice of Bacon a handsome beast, he's also long committed to his wife (very sexy), has built a successful career taking a backseat in movies and is a rock star. Literally.

During his River Wild days (excellent movie if you haven't seen it), Kevin joked that due to all his character roles, he had worked with just about everyone in Hollywood. Four college kids took that concept to the next level one day when they tuned in to a Kevin Bacon movie marathon. The challenge was to pick a random celebrity and link them back to Kevin Bacon in six steps or less. Once the foursome realized they had a legit parlor game on their hands, they wrote a letter to Jon Stewart and appeared on Jon Stewart and Howard Stern's shows with Bacon. When developing the game for Google TV, Kevin and the design team were trying to get his appearance just right. Bacon told Insider TV, “It's just so silly. I loved it.”

How much did we love Kevin Bacon in the original Footloose as the rebellious, tight-jean wearing, warehouse dancing Ren McCormack? Bacon's post-Footloose career became an impressive catalog of movies where he was not cast as the lead role. We got to admire a uniformed Bacon as Captain Jack Ross in A Few Good Men (Tom who?). In Apollo 13, we thought there were few people we'd rather rocket into space with than Kevin Bacon. In River Wild, he co-starred with Meryl Streep as the creepy but sexy bank robber (who could kidnap us anytime!). When The Telegraph asked Bacon if he had come to terms with playing “the Other Guy” as Bacon calls it, he answered, “I still have my anxious moments. There is always some place better that you think you should be. I call this time of year 'The Bitter Season,' because I sit around watching everyone else get nominated for Oscars.”

While Bacon may not have any recent Oscar nominations, how many Hollywood leading men have their own parlor game? Besides, Kevin is the first in command on the wildly popular television series The Following, where Bacon plays an FBI agent, in constant pursuit of the leader of a cult of serial killers. Bacon told CNN, “I wanted to do something that was about life and death. When I was trying to choose a series, I wanted to be the hero. I wanted the character to be complex and flawed, because that's the kind of [hero] that I like to play. That's the kind of [hero] that I like to see.” Really? Because a complex, flawed hero is exactly the kind of Man Candy we like to see.

Every gal loves a guy who can step in front of a mic and look good doing it. Kevin is one such talent and has been in a band, The Bacon Brothers, with his brother since he can remember. On the band's official website, Kevin says, "My earliest memory of music was what my brother was playing or the music he brought home. I would sit on the steps of our basement while he was downstairs practicing with our sister, Hilda, and their band. So my heroes growing up were all rock 'n' rollers. I wasn't really into sports, or even movies. If I could save money, I'd buy an album."

Kevin's brother Michael is quick to commend his sibling's writing ability. "Kevin writes a lot more songs than I do. While I spend a lot of time writing instrumental music, lyrical songs are tougher. If I write one or two a year that I like, then I'm happy. But Kevin has this amazing gift of turning everyday experiences into universal thoughts that everybody can identify with."

A guy who can sink his teeth into any role and is a masterful songwriter and musician? That's hot.

Unless you were born yesterday, you know that Kevin Bacon has been married to the equally talented Kyra Sedgwick since 1988, and the couple have two grown children together. When Redbook asked Bacon how he knew Sedgwick was the one, he answered, “When I look back, the thing that blows my mind is how young she was when we met. But she had this wisdom. With a lot of actors, you've got to chip through the surface to see who the real person is. But she didn't have any of that. She was this very tough, smart, very real person, incredibly emotional and passionate. It didn't seem weird to me that we were getting married and having kids so quickly.”

We all knew this couple was close, but even they didn't know how close until recently. When Kevin and Kyra agreed to let the PBS series Finding Your Roots explore their genealogy, they learned they are distant cousins! It seems even Kyra can't escape the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game!

Man Candy Mondays: Paul Walker

Perhaps you've been lusting after Paul Walker since he played Brandon Collins on The Young and the Restless. Maybe you only know him as the make-your-breath-catch-in-your-throat stud from The Fast and the Furious franchise. Whatever your level of lust for Paul is, we've got you covered.

How can we not? That voice. Those pecs. That hair. Those blue eyes. That facial stubble. We even forgive him for Eight Below. That's true love.

Paul Walker's mother was a model (another piece of the puzzle falls into place) and his dad was a sewer contractor. There's a joke in there somewhere.

After high school, Paul embarked on college and a (as his official website puts it) “couch surfing” career. While the buff Walker pursued a degree in marine biology, he did it from the comfort of several friends' couches. He was a bit of a “Dupree” in the day, which begs just one question: Where were we in those days? We have a couch?— or a bed, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Don't confuse couch surfing and being a couch potato. Perfect Paul loves to play soccer, football and go surfing, camping and fishing. He says he's a “Jack of all trades, but master of none.” None? We doubt that.

Lest you think pretty Paul is a muscle-head, he is actually using his marine biology degree. He told Indiewire, “I always wanted to use it so I figured out ways to make that happen. I've got projects developing right now. Jean-Michel Cousteau, who's the son of my idol Jacques Cousteau?— we're working together and I'm working with Michael Domeier. I've been doing shark research and we've been doing tidal stuff and more educational stuff with Jean-Michel, which is fun.” Not only is Paul easy on the eyes, but he's intelligent and cool as hell. Do you know anyone else hanging with the legendary Jacques Cousteau's son?

Paul Walker, alongside Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, stars in the Man Candy movie Fast & Furious 6, where Paul plays street racer Brian O'Conner and tells AOL on Entertainment that the parallels between his character and himself are “almost frightening.” He goes on to explain that “in terms of self-realization and trying to figure out who you are in this crazy world, the worlds we live in are different, but journey wise? It's almost identical. Fatherhood came a bit later for Brian than it did for me, but a child out of wedlock, not really knowing how to be for yourself and now all of a sudden having to be for someone else? That's just one component of it.”

Walker also admits that the technical aspects of The Fast and the Furious movies are a challenge to him. “I'm a professional race car driver, so I always take the drive sequences very seriously.” A talented, smart, handsome actor with a thirst for danger? We'll slide into the passenger seat on that ride anytime.

Marine biology and race car driving aren't the only things that Paul takes seriously. He tells Indiewire, “I have a daughter that's 14 years old. I've always been more of a transient sort of dude?— I've always gone with the energy and the way it takes me. And she's living full time with me now. I'm a full-time single father. This opportunity's been put in my lap so I want to seize it. I want to make it work. And if it isn't exactly what I want, then I want to figure out a way to make it that… She's trying to figure out who she, what she is in this world, forming a sense of identity, trying to find her sense of purpose, her style and all this stuff. It's a fun time for both of us and she's a cool partner, she's the best partner I've ever had.” So while Paul isn't currently part of a couple, he definitely has a significant other. Man Candy Mondays: John Stamos

John Stamos is a hunk staple who has been making our breath catch since he played Blackie on General Hospital. Meet the smart and funny guy behind the delicious piece of Man Candy.

John Stamos is one of those rare male specimens that is just getting hunkier with age, has an incredible sense of humor and is able to roll with the punches when it comes to his life and career.

Longtime fans of OC heartthrob John Stamos?(who used to flip burgers in his dad's fast food restaurant) remember him for his days as Blackie on General Hospital. Stamos was only supposed to be in a few episodes, but producers quickly realized they had a fan favorite on their hands with the swoon-worthy Stamos. From there, he bounced around on television and in a couple of small movies. Stamos also reached out and made friends with his longtime idols, The Beach Boys, and toured with them periodically as their drummer. That takes guts! How much do we love a take-charge guy?

Most of us remember Stamos for landing the role of a lifetime on the smash TV show Full House. People so loved Stamos as Uncle Jesse that he had a hard time finding work after the role branded him in a “forever Full House” way.

Stamos stayed busy with Broadway productions and formed a production company soon after marrying Rebecca Romijn. Between acting roles, Stamos' production company made several made-for-TV features, but fans wanted more of Stamos. When he guest starred on ER, fans got what they

wanted. The response to Stamos' appearance was so overwhelmingly positive that he joined the cast of ER in its 13th season.

In August 2012, Stamos starred in Broadway's "The Best Man" and told People magazine of his portrayal as a politician, “It's one of the hardest things, being a bastard for two hours and 40 minutes. It's exhausting.” What does that tell you? If being a jerk takes a toll on him, he's got to be a good guy off-stage.

This sweet chunk of Man Candy can do it all?— act, produce, play the drums for a legendary band?— all while looking like a cologne model.

John Stamos is the national spokesman for Project Cuddle, an organization that provides a hotline for new mothers in crisis who are considering abandoning their babies. So far over 700 babies have been saved from abandonment! On The Jeff Probst Show, Stamos said that he'll get a text in the middle of the night from founder and friend Debbe Magnusen that another baby has been saved and he'll “start bawling his eyes out.” A man who helps save babies? Be still our hearts.

Sure we got a few wink, wink, nudge, nudge giggles out of John when he played Uncle Jesse on Full House, but lately we've grown a deeper appreciation for his obvious sense of humor. His Oikos Greek yogurt commercials demonstrate that he doesn't take himself too seriously, but one of our favorite John Stamos videos is “John Stamos' Guide to Cuddling.” We can't embed it in this article, but zip over to YouTube and check it out. When “one of the most handsome men you can think of off the top of your head” says “your exploring fingers are like Lewis and that other guy” as Stamos caresses Bob Saget, we lose it.

After divorcing Romijn, "The Stamos" is blissfully single. In a Redbook interview, stunning Stamos described an overzealous female fan who snuck into his General Hospital dressing room naked. “I didn't know what to do. Should I call security? Should I buy her lunch?” He gave her a coat and sent her on her way. When asked what guy he'd want to sleep with if he were a woman, John jokingly answered, “Will Ferrell. I like his curly hair and the fact that he'll get naked at the drop of a hat. I find that sexy in a man.”

So what does this dreamy, buttery-smooth piece of Man Candy look for in a girl? John told Redbook, “A good sense of humor. I once dated a girl who worked for McDonald's. She came and asked me if I wanted a Big Mac.” All those good looks, a hilarious personality and laid-back charm? Sign us up.

Man Candy Mondays: Henry Cavill

 

How did British actor Henry Cavill land one of the biggest roles in American pop culture by playing Superman in Man of Steel? Isn't it obvious? If not, it will be by the time you're done reading this…

We love Henry because he spoke to our inner Lois Lane well before he was cast as the Man of Steel. His classic good looks, strong and well-defined features and gorgeous smile make him a superhero, regardless of what role he's in.

Hometown: Jersey (No, not that Jersey. The one just off the coast of Normandy, France)

If you somehow missed The Tudors, allow us to bring you up to speed. The dashing Henry was cast as Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk in Showtime's The Tudors, which aired a bit before The Other Boleyn Girl was released. Once women saw that movie, they were hungry to dial up more action from The Tudors and when they did, they met the irresistible Charles.

Viewers soon became acquainted with the duke's love of the ladies, and were thrilled that Henry spent almost as much time in front of the camera with his shirt off as he did with it on. And what does Henry think of his onscreen time between the sheets? He told JustJared.com, “As an actor and when you're working and doing kissing/romantic scenes, you try and get your feelings there as much as you can so that you can give off the right energy to the audience and into the camera. But at the same time, it is acting. There are other things going through your mind where, normally in those kinds of situations, the only thing that's on your mind is the person that you're with.”

What do his female costars think of hunky Henry? Freida Pinto, Henry's love interest in Immortals, told SheKnows of their love scenes together, “He was an absolute gentleman. He really helped me get as comfortable as possible. Considering Henry was already on set shooting, he knew a lot of the cast, it was kind of sweet to keep me calm."

Sigh. Thank you, Duke of Suffolk, for single-handedly bringing our romance novel dreams to life.

Will Henry play Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey? If all the rumors, fan-made videos on YouTube and social media have anything to say about it, the answer is yes. What does Henry think about that? He told Details magazine, “Whether that happens, that decision will be made at the time it has to be made. It would be a very different kind of thing than Man of Steel." Can the female population take Henry Cavill as Superman and Christian Grey? We'd figure something out.

Not bloody likely! At least not anymore. Henry may have felt cursed a few years ago when he learned Twilight author Stephenie Meyer had him in mind for Twilight's Edward (Cavill was too old for the part by the time it was made into a movie), that he was neck and neck with Daniel Craig to be cast as James Bond (but was thought to be too young) and lost out on the role of Superman in Superman Returns to Brandon Routh. This earned Henry Empire Magazine's title of “the most unlucky man in Hollywood” in 2005. Ouch. Timing is everything as the saying goes, and years later Henry has landed the role of Superman, meaning we are going to be seeing a lot more of him. Lucky us.

Insert collective groan here. We're just joking of course! How long could we expect a luscious specimen like Henry to stay single? He has been dating Gina Carano since September 2012. Who the heck is that, you ask? You'd better not ask it too loudly because she's an MMA fighter and fitness model and could kick our a** if we dog her for hanging on our guy Henry. She's also starring in Fast and Furious 6 with another bevy of hunks, so we have one more reason to be annoyed by her?— from a distance of course.

Man Candy Mondays: Desmond Harrington

With the premiere of Dexter, Season 8, right around the corner comes a new opportunity to tune in to Desmond Harrington on a regular basis. To get you primed, we've elaborated on why he's our favorite twisted hottie...

We can't decide if it's the chiseled jaw, the perfect smile or the conflicted characters that Desmond crafts so well that makes our hearts beat a bit faster.

Born: Oct. 19, 1976

Hometown: Savannah, Georgia

Height: 5' 10”

Dashing Desmond was born in Savannah, but moved to Bronx, New York, with his parents when he was only 3 years old. During his high school years, he was described as being in and out of trouble, conceited and hyper. The hunk who would one day become Gossip Girl's Jack Bass didn't fare much better in college. After going to Manhattan College for six weeks, the actor was cordially uninvited from coming back. (No details on what dastardly deed got him expelled from school.)

Harrington jumped in on acting classes and paid for them by bartending, landscaping and cold-calling for a brokerage firm. How thankful are we that he finally figured out a way to harness all that energy into acting?

On the set of Love Object, it's been rumored that Harrington, who did most of his own stunts, accidentally knocked over co-star Melissa Sagemiller more than once. He also accidentally hit another actor with a prop, and that actor refused to do scenes with Desmond and power tools in the same room. Harrington brushed off the rumors, telling desmondharrington.net in an interview that the only on-set accidents involved the creepy doll getting dropped several times, “which wasn't good because it cost $10,000.”

In Wrong Turn, Harrington addressed the on-set mishaps by saying, “I didn't break my ankle but twisted it to the point where it turned different colors and was very hard to walk on let alone run, which we did a lot of in the movie. I believe Eliza (his co-star) got poison ivy, I luckily did not.” Aww. Isn't there something sort of endearing about a clumsy hottie? We're here to kiss it and make it all better, right ladies?

Desmond is back on Showtime's smash hit Dexter as Detective Joey Quinn. Set your DVRs ladies?— Dexter premiered June 30 and you won't want to miss a minute of the twisted dynamic between Quinn and the serial-killer-with-a-cause, Dexter. When TMZ asked Harrington for spoilers from the upcoming season, he said, “I'm the last person. I ain't even that high up in the cast. So I'm the last person you want to ask.” How adorably humble!

In one of Hollywood's most vexing “are they or aren't they” dating statuses, Desmond Harrington and gal-pal Amanda Seyfried are keeping us guessing. The two were first reported dating in July 2012, and cozy pictures of them holding hands were published well into October. In the January issue of InStyle magazine, Les Mis star Amanda cryptically said, “I'm just more attracted to actors. I like their choice to be artists?— that's ballsy. And a guy who has such access to his emotional life is sexy. Or maybe because lots of the actors I know are so broken. I don't think I'm compatible with anybody I've dated. Maybe I'm so attracted to actors because I'm not ready for the ‘settled down' thing yet.” While no new updates about the couple have surfaced recently, neither has word of a breakup. What does that mean for us? If he's looking to settle down, he may be on his way out with Amanda.

Strap in, ladies – it’s fixin’ to get smokin’ hot in here. Jamie Foxx is easy on the eyes, but that’s not the only reason he’s making our Monday a bit brighter. Mr. Foxx is the sort of alpha male that kicks a** at everything he does and makes women swoon. Here's why...

A lady loves to be entertained, and Mr. Foxx can deliver. Whether he’s on the ivories, on the comedy stage or on the big screen, Jamie Foxx is always bringing at least seven kinds of smoke.

Jamie Foxx was born Eric Marlon Bishop, but changed his name when he started doing comedy because women were given preferential treatment and put on stage before men. He tells Maxim magazine, “Jamie Foxx is the persona — the party-starter, the emcee, the guy who comes onstage with Kanye West and does whatever. Eric Bishop is the quiet guy who'll have a glass of wine somewhere quiet and play piano for just a few people. My sister has never called me Jamie Foxx. She always calls me Eric. She thinks that “Jamie Foxx” is a crock and always says, “I am not calling you that s***.”

Jamie was adopted by his grandparents (who had also adopted his mother) when he was 7 months old during his biological parents' divorce. He was raised in Terrell, Texas, which at the time, was a racially segregated community with a strict Baptist upbringing. Still this humble upbringing would not stand in the way of what would become a Hollywood giant.

Foxx started playing the piano when he was 5 and started performing at his church as a teenager. His second grade teacher recognized him as a comedic talent and bribed his class using Jamie as a reward! Jamie as a reward? Hmmmm. Yeah, that's pretty much brilliant.

Jamie once got up on stage at a comedy club after his girlfriend dared him to. A star was born. He had already won a musical scholarship to Alliant International University. Among his career highs are his Academy, BAFTA, Golden Globe, Critics' Choice and SAG awards. He's been one of People magazine's “Hottest Bachelors” and “50 Most Beautiful People.”

Recently he was given MTV's Generation Award. During his acceptance speech for his MTV award, Jamie said, "Anytime somebody tells you that you can't do something, make sure you do it, because somebody told me that I wouldn't be able to do music and movies." Bet that person feels kind of silly right about now. Jamie's spent his career proving there is very little he can't do, which makes him made of stuff women have a hard time refusing.

Has Christmas come early this year? In White House Down, Channing Tatum serves as the brawn protecting the president (Foxx) with the White House under attack. A more brilliant two-fer in recent history we cannot recall. Can we take all these “large-and-in-charge” roles from Jamie? First he played a man avenging the mistreatment of his wife in Django Unchained, then the POTUS in White House Down and as Spider-Man's nemesis in next year's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Uh, yeah?— we can handle it. As long as Hollywood is serving up Jamie, we'll take a generous serving, and then we'll have seconds.

This 45-year-old self-proclaimed bachelor loves the ladies, but doesn't have a lot of use for marriage, just as he has no desire to reveal the identity of the mother of his two daughters. He told Oprah about his baby momma, “It's just so cool and calm and that's all you need. If we composed a list of Hollywood's top 10 hunks, Seth Rogen may not make the list. But for women who dig a bit deeper and love a man who works hard, makes them laugh and is really smart, Seth Rogen is all kinds of hot.

If you thought “as if” when Seth Rogen played opposite Katherine Heigl in Knocked Up, you weren't getting the full picture. His subtle, bumbling, occasional stoner delivery is funny and adorable.

Nerds have a certain sex appeal because they tend to be appreciative, grateful and smart. While Seth is definitely rocking that vibe, it may interest you to know that he dropped out of high school. My mom's inappropriate at times and talks about sex way too much. She will post far too much information on her Facebook. But a whole generation of mothers model themselves on Barbra. She is the patient zero of Jewish mothers. And when we spend time together, we talked about movies, food and the stuff I usually talk about. She's not very pretentious.”

Seth is a member of two of the funniest groups in Hollywood?— the Frat Pack and “comedy mafia.” The Frat Pack includes comedic big shots like Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson, and the “comedy mafia” is pretty much any funny guy who has been a part of a Judd Apatow movie.

Still very much in the honeymoon phase, Seth said something revealing about his home life when he described his work ethic in The New York Times: “I think one of the biggest things we (he and Barbra Streisand) have in common is that we both take our work very seriously — and we both want to go home.
