There comes a time in every relationship, but in short, when you realize that things are destined for failure. Sometimes, it is something that you, sometimes it's something she does, and often it is the fault of anyone. Whatever it is, these moments remain with us, engraved in our memories, as testament to our deeply personal trips through the romantic life. It is the attempt of a man to share very personal moments of his own.

This is the fourth in a five-part series. The final installment runs tomorrow.

Four years ago, I went on a Club Med family vacations in the Turks and Caicos Islands. By some bizarre mixup, it happened to be a Club Med for the "singles", and more time passes more I realize how awkward that was. I mean, I guess if it is moved vacationing with family as a single man in his twenties, it is better to be trained in a club singles than a family club. But always, be in a club of singles with your parents is awkward at best. In any case, I was there, with my parents, my younger brother and lots of single people desperate.

The crowd was not overloaded with the hotties, but there were a few. Was demarcated in particular - it was a large, French, Brown and very pretty. A night at the central bar, I noticed with his friends and decided to try to make a conversation. It was not easy. I tried to show in my view on the France and the French language (my being from Montreal and all), but she was not terribly impressed. Regardless, I hung around a bit. And when she came and asked me to join drinking game that many people seem to play I was for it, of course.

After that she pushed me in the centre of the meeting, I realized that the game involves be stuffed tied down to a table of rotation - Tequila-not exactly my idea of fun. "Have you tried?" she said. 'No,' replied I, trying to seem easy to live. Suddenly, a staff member grabbed me and told me to stand on the table. Before everybody, at the centre of the crowd, I couldn't refuse. And he can impress the girl, I thought. Is mounted on the table, which crashed the tequila, run me around because the overzealous employee and I could not believe the strength of the head-rush that results. My face was as if it was going to explode, and my distorted expression must have been embarrassing to watch. I was in hell. Worse still, when I got up, the girl was nowhere to be seen. I'm not even sure that she had seen him arrive. All this was unnecessary.

The next day, I saw her at the edge of the pool and approached him yet again, trying to play cool and discard the events of the previous evening. "Would you do me a favor and come to the beach with me?" asked. "Sure," I said, obviously. We walked together to the beach and chatted a bit. Maybe, just maybe, I'd played somehow my cards right. When we arrived at the beach she asked me to wait a second while she took his camera and a sign. "Here," she handed me the camera. "Would have taken a picture of me? '' "Sure," I said. As she argued away from me and held the sign before a beautiful beachscape Caribbean I couldn't believe what I saw: "I love you, JEAN-PHILLIPE. It turns out that none of us had no business being in a singles club.
